Einstein Bros. Bagels

It’s my first time back after several years. There are new breakfast items including breakfast burritos and sandwiches. They still have muffins, cookies and turnovers. The nova lox was delicious but I really loved my apple cinnamon bagel with plain cream cheese. The shared space with Peet’s makes it a nice neighborhood hangout spot.

Absolutely the worst customer service imaginable. Girl taking my order put my name as ERN (who’s named that?), waited over 20 minutes and never got my food because they gave it to another customer. When they realized they said they would make my food but never did. I gave up and asked for my Money back which took three employees and way too long all because not a single one of the dozen people working they knows what they’re doing.

My recent visit to Einstein Bagels in Pasadena, California was an absolute disaster. From the moment I entered the establishment, it was clear that this would not be a pleasant dining experience. First and foremost, the food was far from fresh tasting. The bagels were stale and lacked the fluffy texture and delicious taste I had come to expect from Einstein Bagels. It was incredibly disappointing to bite into what should have been a satisfying breakfast only to be met with a disappointing and lackluster flavor. To make matters worse, the potato side that I ordered was initially missing from my order. When I brought this to the attention of the server, their response was nothing short of rude and accusatory. Instead of offering a solution or an apology, they actually insinuated that I was lying about my missing order. Such unprofessional behavior is unacceptable and completely tarnishes the reputation of the establishment. The customer service throughout my visit was appalling. The staff seemed disinterested and indifferent to the needs of the customers. It was evident that they lacked proper training in how to handle customer complaints or provide basic courtesy. Overall, my experience at Einstein Bagels in Pasadena was one of the worst I have encountered in a long time. The food was far from fresh, the potato side was served cold, and the server’s response to my missing order was disgraceful. I would strongly advise against visiting this establishment if you value quality food and good customer service. I sincerely hope that Einstein Bagels takes this feedback seriously and makes the necessary improvements to ensure that other customers do not have to endure such a dreadful experience. -UPDATE- out of fairness, I did reach out to the Einstein customer service email and never received a response. They just don’t care…

3 out of 4 times my orders wrong. I always order the same 4 bagels, plain, not cut, in a bag. No prep, just 4 bagels in a bag. I rarely get what I order. I can't imagine ordering an actual bagel sandwich or bagel with schmear. If you never know what you want to eat and like surprises, this is the place for you. If you like efficiency and correctness, this is NOT the place for you.

The bagel I order is just a plane bagel dipped in cinnamon sugar. If they run out, they just dip a plane bagel in the sugar and they have more. Why is it that they tell me they're out, and refund my money? Why is it my order is either wrong, or they refuse to make it? I think this is the worst Einstein in the chain.the staff are a whole new level of terrible.
